Deep Imagery journeys are inner journeys in which we interact, while awake, with the other-than-ego inhabitants of our own psyches or the Earth’s psyches. The beings you meet in these journeys are potent allies in support of personal wholeness and initiation. In tonight’s presentation, Sheila will offer two forms of a deep imagery journey: a guided meditation to meet a teacher and a shamanic journey with the drum to meet an animal guide.

Holiday Celebration, Writers, Clinton
The Whidbey Island Writers Association December 2 program at the Rockhopper in Clinton will feature Connie Dawson, co-author of How Much Is Enough?: Everything You Need to Know to Steer Clear of Overindulgence and Raise Likeable, Responsible, and Respectful Children. Dawson’s book, co-authored by Jean Illsley Clarke and David Bredehoft, gives parents the insight and advice they need to parent in an effective and loving way and put their children on track for a happy and successful life. The book is based on solid, groundbreaking research involving 1,200 parents and their children, and, as Dawson’s talk will point out, could be useful in helping parents re-think Christmas present buying.
All writers are invited to attend the Holiday Open House from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and everyone is asked to bring an unwrapped new children’s book to be donated to the Holiday House project sponsored by the Readiness to Learn Foundation of Island County. Members are reminded that there are many children’s authors in the Association and their books would make excellent presents
Whidbey Island Association membership information is available at the meeting and an online calendar of all Association activities can be found at www.writeonwhidbey.org. Contact Donna Hood with questions
Other Tuesdays of the month, writers are invited to meet, write, critique and eat at the Rockhopper. An open mic is available for writers who wish to videotape their work for airing on www.ferryfolk.com.

Almost broke, the Soapbox Theatre Company is having a dickens of a time with their annual production of A Christmas Carol. Tiny Tim is a bit old, Marley keeps getting his chains tangled in the scenery, and there is an inspector from the NEA expected any minute. When an inept new actor arrives, the stage is set for a major case of mistaken identity – with horrifying and hilarious results! Part Noises Off, part Waiting for Guffman, this sidesplitting hit is sure to be the funniest show you'll see this winter!

Come explore the magic onstage as the timeless classic is performed by local talent and directed by Rusty Hendrix, at the Whidbey Playhouse
Scott Arnold a Coupeville senior prepared for his role as Peter Pan by watching every version of the movie on the market. His hold nothing back approach makes him irresistable to watch. His energy and acrobatics are a pleasure to watch. Great acting by all, Allen Young, Lisa Sparks, Austin Hendrix, to name a few. While your eyes have trouble deciding what to focus on next, the story and the wholesome, lovely nature ofit, pulls at your heart.
Very inspiring for young audiences since 29 of the actors are children. Top performances and imaginative sets makes this a 'must see'

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for they become your destiny." unknown author
I have been bringing this message of the power of the mind to everyone I can. It is based upon researchers and the work and writings of inspirational thinkers such as Dean Radin, Eric Pearl, Ramtha, Bruce Lipton, Abraham, Rupert Sheldrake, Greg Braden and many others. This special evening will review stories, research and anecdotes drawn from my personal explorations and from scientific studies that reveals how what and how you think about yourself is one of the greatest predictors of health and longevity. Come, enjoy and learn that the extraordinary is not impossible and is within your grasp on a daily basis. I have formally presented this information in institutions such as Whidbey General Hospital, The Island County Juvenile Corrections program and East West Books.
