Located 25 miles northwest of Seattle, and only 2 hours drive south of Vancouver, Canada, a relaxing island vacation is closer than you might think. With ferry and bridge connections close to the Seattle metropolitan area, you can reach either island in under an hour. Accessible and beautiful, getting to Whidbey and Camano Islands is a scenic part of your vacation trip, however you get there. Nevertheless, both islands are closer to Seattle than the San Juan Islands and require less ferry and drive time in transit.
