Now, more than ever, Whidbey and Camano Islands offer visitors lots of options for sampling the region’s wine, beer, and spirits
Island County is already culinary heaven for tourists– famous for excellent seafood, fresh produce and artisan chocolates. Local wine is a natural pairing. But, so is a quality craft beer or a liqueur.
Seven wineries, two distilleries and two briewiers brewery are now open throughout the region, racking up prestigious awards and high scores. Annual events include “Red Wine and Chocolate” each February on both Camano and Whidbey Islands. The Whidbey Island Vintners also hold “Savor Spring” each May, pairing farms with wineries, and a Fall event each November.
