Listen to KWPA radio for Whidbey & Camano's local news!Whidbey Island’s many treasure chests of cultural riches will be unearthed on a new radio program, about to premiere this month on KWPA radio, a community radio station located in Coupeville serving the entire island. “Isle of the Arts” will air every Monday, starting May 17th, at 12:15 p.m.That is 15-minutes after the already established “Whidbey Chat” show hosted by Gwen Sam, which airs live from 11:00 a.m. - Noon.Listeners outside the reach of the public radio station's signal can hear programs streaming 24 hours a day. Welcome the Whales!A small group of resident Gray whales typically arrives to our region in early March and stays through the end of May or early June, feeding on ghost shrimp along the sand and mud shores of Saratoga Passage and South Whidbey. This annual spring visit of Gray whales provides an excellent opportunity to view whales from the shorelines of Island county or from the Mukilteo/Clinton ferries, much to the delight of residents and visitors alike. Ebey's Landing National Historic ReserveCelebrating and exploring a rural working community. The Ebey's Forever program is for all who want to understand the history of the Ebey Reserve and look at it's future.
