Gail Harker Creative Studies Center Website
The Gail Harker Creative Studies Center began in 1994 in Oak Harbor, Washington, U.S.A. in response to a real demand for structured art-based textile courses with a focus on individual development of artists. We have built a strong community of successful artists who attend our center from all over North America and Europe and have established our own Certificate and Diploma program with graduates throughout North America.
Our focus at the Center is on the development of individual expression within a contemporary context. We are dedicated to the enriching experience of art for individuals and the provision of a conducive environment in which to learn and appreciate art, design, embroidery and other textile art forms. A varied selection of courses include: multimedia art and design, color studies, surface design, machine and hand stitch, feltmaking, papermaking, sketchbook studies, and collage.
Our course offerings are unique and ever-changing. For the most up-to-date schedule of courses, please see our online calendar.
Please call, e-mail or visit our website for further details. Individual brochures and registration sheets for each course are available on our website.
